二月她媽媽帶她來找我時,
滿心焦急.
因為Catherine SAT數學部分滿分800模擬考只考了480.
她媽媽請求我每週撥兩個小時幫助她準備五月時的考試,
但二月到五月就只剩三個月了!!
我也只能盡力幫她.
我陪他做了不少題目, 她很認真, 不會的就一直問.
五月考試前她其實還是沒什麼把握.
六月時成績出來了!
她考到了780分,出乎意料的高.
(三個月成績480變成780)

SAT Math 780
Pressure and motivation are some of the important factors in achieving a goal. Without Mrs. Jenny's encouraging comments and guidance, it would definitely be harder for me to push myself to even start flipping through the pages of my SAT book. I only had class with Mrs. Jenny when I got stuck in math - the subject that has always been the hardest for me. Those lessons were not merely about solving brain-racking math problems but also about understanding the math principles underlying those equations, numbers, graphs...etc. Throughout these classes, I had the chance to familiarize myself with these principles which enabled me to solve enough questions to get very satisfying scores on my SAT maths. However, taking classes do not guarantee good scores. It takes your own determination and perseverance in practicing the same types of problems that you got wrong again and again. For me, it also took a great teacher such as Mrs. Jenny, who had the passion and patience to explain every single problem in very comprehensible ways despite the many times that I had asked for the same explanations for the same questions, to motivate and push me to reach my goal. Teaching takes both the willingness of the student to learn and the teacher to teach in the way that would benefit the students the most in order to be productive and successful. With Mrs. Jenny, it was a success for me.
